Democrats ramp up funding for Senate hopefuls Talarico and Brown

Democratic candidates James Talarico of Texas and Sherrod Brown of Ohio are receiving significant support as their respective Senate races could determine control of the U.S. Senate. In Texas, the Senate Majority PAC has launched digital advertising campaigns targeting Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, marking the first major intervention by Senate leadership in the Talarico contest.

While Talarico has raised nearly $70 million, Republican spending is currently outpacing Democratic efforts. Outside groups linked to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, the Lone Star Liberty PAC, and MAGA Inc. have contributed nearly $150 million toward the Republican side.

In New York, allies of Mayor Zohran Mamdani are hosting a fundraiser in Manhattan to support both Talarico and Brown. The event, which includes high-profile figures such as Robert De Niro, features ticket prices ranging from $500 to $27,000.
