Denis Vejzović repatriated to Croatia following brain aneurysm

Denis Vejzović, a 38-year-old man from Rijeka, has been successfully transported via special medical flight from Cork, Ireland, to Croatia. He is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at KBC Rebro in Zagreb.

The medical emergency began on July 7 in Ireland, when Vejzović suffered a brain aneurysm. Following emergency surgery, he remained in a coma. After Irish medical teams determined there was little hope for recovery and began considering the withdrawal of life support, his family launched a humanitarian campaign to secure his return to Croatia.

The complex repatriation was made possible through significant public donations and the involvement of the Croatian Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. His family expressed deep gratitude to the donors and authorities who assisted in the urgent medical transfer.
