Denizli Chamber of Commerce announces new technology and industrial projects

Uğur Erdoğan, President of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO), has outlined several economic initiatives and reported on the region's performance. Denizli currently ranks 8th among Turkey's exporting provinces for the first eight months of the year. In August alone, the city's exports reached approximately 448.3 million USD, representing a 9.9 percent increase compared to the previous year.

To bolster the local economy, the DTO is planning to establish a Technology Development Center (TEKMER) in collaboration with Pamukkale Teknokent. This center will focus on supporting women and young entrepreneurs through training in fields such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, automation, and e-commerce. Additionally, the DTO announced plans to develop new industrial sites for the agriculture and recycling sectors on a 1,200-acre site.

Erdoğan also highlighted financial opportunities for businesses, noting that KOSGEB is offering loans of up to 75 million lira through its Global Competitiveness Support Program, with an application deadline of September 30. He emphasized the importance of supporting local production and addressing challenges regarding the procurement of domestic goods in the public sector.
