Denizli Chamber of Commerce development initiatives

Overview

Uğur Erdoğan, President of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO), has introduced a series of strategic development projects aimed at long-term regional growth. Initial plans focused on enhancing tourism through night lighting at the Laodikya Ancient City, constructing a new DTO service building, and establishing a Technology Development Center (TEKMER) in the Bereketler neighborhood. The chamber also proposed developing 1,200 acres for recycling and mixed food industrial sites.

Subsequent updates detailed the economic context of these initiatives, noting that Denizli ranked 8th among Turkey’s exporting provinces, with August exports reaching approximately 448.3 million USD, a 9.9 percent year-on-year increase. The TEKMER project, developed in collaboration with Pamukkale Teknokent, will specifically target women and young entrepreneurs with training in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, automation, and e-commerce. Additionally, the DTO highlighted available KOSGEB loans for businesses and emphasized the need to support local production.
