Turkish cities showcase folk dance festivals in July 2026

In Bafra, Samsun Province, the "Kültürlerin Dansı" program brought Georgian and Northern Cyprus Turkish folk dances to the stage of the Bafra Municipality Cultural and Art Center. Hosted by the Samsun Georgian Cultural Association and the Lefke Yedi Dalga Folklore Association, the event highlighted the UNESCO‑listed polyphonic music of Georgia and promoted cultural tourism.

The 20th International Folk Dance Festival in Denizli continued through early July, featuring performances by hundreds of artists from 20 countries. The festival culminated with a gala night on 5 July, drawing large crowds to venues across the city and its districts.

Meanwhile, the third edition of the Kadırga Festival took place in the 19 Mayıs district of Samsun. Organized by the Düzköy Neighborhood Social, Cultural Assistance and Solidarity Association, the event offered traditional music, folk dances, local food stalls and concerts, attracting visitors from multiple provinces.
