Denizli Metropolitan Municipality approves social and production support packages

The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Council, led by Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, has passed 45 agenda items focused on social welfare, education, and agricultural production during its October session.

Key educational initiatives include the ‘Education Support, Investment in the Future Project,’ which provides regular assistance to students who are orphans, children of martyrs, or living with disabilities to promote equal opportunity.

To combat rising living costs, the council revised social assistance criteria and approved a winter heating support program. This support will be distributed to households in need during November and December 2026, and January and February 2027.

Agricultural support measures include continued diesel and fertilizer subsidies for farmers through 2027. Additionally, the ‘Bereketli Sürüler’ project will provide barley flake feed to female producers receiving small livestock. The municipality also announced fertilization works to improve pasture productivity across 18 neighborhoods in the Acıpayam, Baklan, Çardak, Çivril, and Sarayköy districts.
