Denizli Metropolitan Municipality social assistance programs

The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has implemented various social welfare, educational, and agricultural support programs.

Initial efforts focused on distributing aid to low-income families, including the ‘Yenidoğan Desteği’ (Newborn Support) project, which provided 9,000 TL to eligible mothers. Other completed distributions included kitchen gas cylinder support, exam preparation materials for students, and travel assistance for families of soldiers.

Recent updates show the municipality has completed September evaluation processes, distributing the 17th term of the ‘Yenidoğan Desteği’ via Horoz Cards and opening applications for the 18th term. Ongoing aid includes 12 kg kitchen gas cylinder support for households without natural gas, test book support for LGS and YKS exam candidates, and travel expenses for families of soldiers through the ‘En Büyük Asker Bizim Asker’ project.

The municipal council, led by Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, has also expanded its scope. To combat rising living costs, the council revised social assistance criteria and approved a winter heating support program for distribution between November 2026 and February 2027. Educational support via the ‘Education Support, Investment in the Future Project’ continues for orphans, children of martyrs, and students with disabilities.

In the agricultural sector, diesel and fertilizer subsidies remain approved through 2027. The ‘Bereketli Sürüler’ project provides barley flake feed to female small livestock producers, complemented by pasture fertilization works across 18 neighborhoods in Acıpayam, Baklan, Çardak, Çivril, and Sarayköy. Additionally, an online food parcel program has been implemented for residents with household incomes below two minimum wages, specifically targeting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with documented privacy and protection needs.
