Denmark allocates millions for rural development projects

The Danish Ministry of Cities, Rural Areas and Transport has allocated millions of kroner from the National Rural Pool to support local development projects across various regions.

In Region Syddanmark, 4.8 million kroner have been granted to 13 projects, including initiatives in Esbjerg, Assens Municipality, and Avernakø. Notable recipients include the Ribe Syd Local Council, which received 800,000 kroner for a project aimed at strengthening settlement and community ties in the rural areas surrounding Ribe, and the Langeland Art Towers, which received 100,000 kroner to develop new educational formats for families.

In Region Midtjylland, 5.5 million kroner have been awarded to 14 projects. These funds are intended to improve living conditions in rural areas and on small islands. Specific allocations include 1,000,000 kroner for the citizen grocer in Ramme-Lomborg, 428,144 kroner for a town square in Hem, and various smaller grants for local shops and community initiatives.
