Denmark electricity prices to remain low for over 17 hours this Saturday

Electricity prices in Denmark are expected to remain low for more than 17 consecutive hours this Saturday. According to the energy company NRGi, the net electricity price will stay below 50 øre per kilowatt-hour (including VAT) from midnight until 17:15.

The most significant price drops are anticipated between 11:00 and 16:00, when prices are expected to fall below 8 øre per kilowatt-hour in both Eastern and Western Denmark. In Western Denmark, prices may briefly drop below zero during this period.

However, prices are projected to rise sharply toward the evening, reaching approximately 1.56 kroner per kilowatt-hour (including VAT) between 19:00 and 20:00. Consumers with hourly-rate contracts are encouraged to shift high-energy tasks, such as laundry or electric vehicle charging, to the cheaper midday hours to maximize savings.
