As of October 1, electricity grid companies are transitioning to winter tariffs, including higher charges during peak hours to incentivize shifting usage. In early October, a period of significantly lower prices was forecasted for a Saturday. According to NRGi, net electricity prices were expected to remain below 50 øre per kWh (including VAT) for over 17 consecutive hours, from midnight until 17:15. The most substantial drops were anticipated between 11:00 and 16:00, with prices in Western Denmark potentially dropping below zero. However, prices were projected to rise sharply toward the evening, reaching approximately 1.56 DKK per kWh between 19:00 and 20:00. By late October, electricity prices rose sharply again. Norlys reported that midday prices (12:00–15:00) increased by up to 92 percent in Western Denmark and 82 percent in Eastern Denmark compared to September.
