Denmark fiscal data shows net cost of Muslim-majority immigration

Data released by the Danish Ministry of Finance regarding the net fiscal contribution of immigrants from 36 different countries shows a significant divide based on origin. According to reports, 24 of the 26 non-Muslim nations analyzed provide a net benefit to taxpayers.

In contrast, all 10 Muslim-majority nations studied resulted in a net cost to the Danish state. Recent evaluations of data from 2019, revised in September 2023, indicate that immigrants and their descendants impose a total net cost of approximately 16 billion Danish Kroner (DKK) on public finances. While individuals of Western origin contribute a net surplus of 11 billion DKK, the group originating from predominantly Muslim countries accounts for a deficit of 27 billion DKK, with significant portions attributed to MENAPT countries (Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, Turkey, and related regions).
