Denmark launches influenza and COVID-19 vaccination campaign

The Danish Health Authority and the Statens Serum Institut have launched a vaccination campaign against influenza and COVID-19 as the season for respiratory infections approaches. Approximately 1.3 million Danes aged 65 and older will receive automatic invitations via Digital Post or physical mail starting Wednesday.

In addition to seniors, the free vaccination program is also available to younger individuals with chronic illnesses or other high-risk factors. Unlike the elderly group, these high-risk individuals must book their appointments themselves rather than waiting for an invitation.
