Denpasar Immigration detains two Nigerian nationals in Bali

Denpasar Immigration officials detained two Nigerian nationals during a foreign national surveillance patrol in the Ubud and Sanur areas of Bali on Thursday night, August 27, 2026.

During the operation, which was conducted in coordination with local police, one individual attempted to flee from officers before being apprehended. Following a data check, officials identified one individual, identified by the initials ECO (34), as having overstayed their visa by 379 days. The second individual, identified as PJU, was found without official identification documents and is also suspected of overstaying.

Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, R. Haryo Sakti, stated that the patrol aimed to ensure legal compliance and maintain security in areas with high foreign national activity. Both individuals have been taken to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further investigation.
