DENR-EMB and AboitizPower launch Project BRIDGES

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau Region III (DENR-EMB R3) has launched Project BRIDGES to advance environmental sustainability and strengthen ecological facilities in Central Luzon. Introduced during the Environmental Summit 2026, the initiative aims to enhance the operational capacity of Materials Recovery Facilities through multi-sectoral cooperation between government agencies, local communities, and power generation companies.

As part of the project, formal commitments were established through a Memorandum of Understanding and a Memorandum of Agreement involving various stakeholders. Sta. Cruz Elementary School in Lubao, Pampanga, has been named the inaugural beneficiary. GNPower Mariveles Energy Center, GNPower Dinginin, and Aboitiz Power Renewables Inc. have pledged a 10-kilowatt solar power system valued at ₱700,000 for the school to provide clean energy and reduce operating costs.
