Denton police seek Richard Pastor Perez in suspected murder of estranged wife

Denton police and the FBI are searching for 49-year-old Richard Pastor Perez, who is suspected of murdering his estranged wife, 42-year-old Marjulin Daiuru Briceño Arrieta.

Briceño Arrieta was reported missing on September 28 after meeting Perez at an apartment in the 1900 block of N. Ruddell Road. Following the meeting, her family was unable to contact either individual. Investigators discovered Briceño Arrieta’s vehicle abandoned near the apartment, and determined that the license plates from her vehicle and Perez’s white 2013 Ford Escape had been swapped.

Flock camera data tracked the vehicle traveling through Wichita Falls and the Amarillo area before reaching Albuquerque, New Mexico. On September 30, Albuquerque police identified the vehicle at a hotel parking lot, where a man matching Perez’s description was seen abandoning the car. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Perez, but both suspects remain at large.
