Denver Nuggets sign Ryan Nembhard to two-way contract

The Denver Nuggets have agreed to a two-way contract with guard Ryan Nembhard. Nembhard, a second-year point guard, became an unrestricted free agent after being waived by the Charlotte Hornets.

To accommodate Nembhard, the Nuggets will waive KJ Simpson to free up one of the team’s three two-way roster spots. Nembhard previously played for the Dallas Mavericks, where he earned a promotion from a two-way deal to a standard contract during his rookie season.

Nembhard’s recent offseason included multiple moves, including being traded from Dallas to Atlanta and subsequently to Charlotte. He is expected to join the Nuggets in Boulder following the conclusion of their training camp.
