Deportivo de La Coruña confirmed the signing of veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. CEO Massimo Benassi said Aubameyang had several offers, some financially superior, but chose Deportivo because of the club's clear project and facilities. He added, "His arrival is a source of pride. He saw a clear project and a club with defined ambitions."

Benassi also reiterated the club's youth‑development rules, stating that "25% of the squad must come from the academy and 50% must be under 25 years old." He highlighted the Spanish mentality of giving young players opportunities, contrasting it with the Italian approach, and noted that players like Lorenzo Amatucci, who speaks fluent Spanish after a year in Spain, fit the club's strategic plan.
