Pierre‑Emerick Aubameyang, 37, has left Olympique de Marseille and signed a two‑year contract with Deportivo La Coruña until June 2028. The Spanish club paid a €1.5 million transfer fee, securing the veteran striker for the newly promoted side. Marseille agreed to the move as part of a wage‑reduction programme, shedding roughly €4.2 million of annual salary by off‑loading the player. Aubameyang arrived after a season with Marseille in which he scored ten league goals and added four in other competitions, bringing a record of more than 140 goals for Borussia Dortmund and prolific spells at Arsenal and Barcelona.
