Deputy Manque Granados urges crackdown on alleged narco‑linked politicians amid T‑MEC review
Federal deputy Manque Granados met with CANACO Chihuahua leaders, praising the long‑standing collaboration between government, business and civil society that she says has kept the state’s economy resilient. She highlighted the “Mercadito Más Barato” program, launched by mayor Marco Bonilla, which aims to provide cheaper staple foods to families, and reaffirmed that listening to community needs remains essential for Chihuahua’s growth.
Granados also voiced strong support for Governor Maru Campos, demanding that the federal government hand over Morena officials accused of ties to organized crime. She warned that such alleged narco‑politicians jeopardize the renegotiation of the US‑Mexico‑Canada Trade Agreement (T‑MEC) and threaten millions of jobs. In a circulated video she said, “Traición a la patria es usar la soberanía y el orgullo nacional como escudo para proteger a criminales,” and urged the federal authorities to act decisively.
