Derek Kutesa to transfer from AEK Athens to Servette

Derek Kutesa is set to leave AEK Athens to rejoin the Swiss club Servette. AEK reportedly secured a profitable deal, selling the player for approximately 2 million euros after having acquired him on a free transfer from the same club last season.

Kutesa, a 27 or 28-year-old Swiss winger, struggled to secure a regular starting position under AEK coach Marco Nikolic this season, appearing for only 18 minutes across five official matches. Despite his limited recent playing time, he was noted for his contributions during AEK’s European qualifying matches last season.

Servette is looking to Kutesa to bolster their squad following the departure of Júnior Cabinda to Lens. Reports suggest the player may sign a five-year contract with the Swiss side, marking a long-term commitment to his return to the club.
