DER/FJ provides funding to economic interest groups in Senegal

The Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Youth (DER/FJ) has provided 20.4 million FCFA in funding to Economic Interest Groups (GIE) in Louga. This financial support aims to strengthen income-generating activities and promote economic empowerment for women and youth in the region. Through the Beyes program, a total of 91.2 million FCFA has been made available to Louga since its inception.

In Matam, DER/FJ General Delegate Abdoulaye Niane announced plans to strengthen the role of umbrella organizations in the amicable recovery of loans. The strategy focuses on using dialogue and consultation to ensure beneficiaries meet their repayment obligations, with judicial routes intended only as a last resort. Officials emphasized that timely repayment is essential to ensure the sustainability of the financing system for future generations.
