Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres on Disney+ July 17

The Disney franchise "Descendants" expands with a new film, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, debuting on Disney+ on July 17, with an earlier broadcast on Disney Channel. The story follows Red and Chloe as a time‑alteration creates a new antagonist, Maddox Hatter, who captures the Heart Queen, prompting the duo to join forces with Red’s newly introduced sister Pink, Luis, and Maddox’s son Max to rescue the kingdom.

Returning cast members include Kylie Cantrall (Red), Malia Baker (Chloe), Leonardo Nam (Maddox Hatter), Rita Ora (Heart Queen), Brandy (Cinderella) and others, while new performers such as Liamani Segura (Pink) and Awkwafina (Chessy the Cat) join the lineup. The film is directed by Kimmy Gatewood, written by Tamara Chestna, Dan Frey and Ru Sommer, and produced by Suzanne Todd and Gary Marsh, with choreography by Emmy‑winner Emilio Dosal. An original soundtrack featuring the single “Mad‑Wicked Wonderland” is released by Walt Disney Records on the same date.
