DesignBlok 2026 opens in Prague with ‘Light’ theme

The 28th edition of the international design festival DesignBlok 2026 has commenced in Prague. Centered on the theme ‘Light’, the event runs until October 11 and features more than 300 creators and brands across six locations, including the Trade Fair Palace and the Prague Castle Riding School.

The festival includes the ‘DesignBlok Talks’ conference, a platform for professional lectures and networking. Public programming, which begins on October 7, will feature exhibitions, fashion shows, and activities for children.

In Vysoké Mýto, the Film and Architecture festival is participating in the national ‘Den architektury’ (Architecture Day) celebrations. The local program includes film screenings at the Šembero Theatre, featuring a portrait of architect Rudolph Schindler and a documentary regarding the transformation of a Danish concrete silo into an art center.
