Detective Precure! film release features JR Central collaboration

The upcoming film ‘Detective Precure! The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of Two’ is scheduled for theatrical release on September 18. The story follows Cure Answer and Anna, who investigate the ‘Batsu-jirushi Incident’ and enter a mysterious garden following a request from a fairy named Rain.

In a recent interview, voice actresses Hikari Senga and Akari Kito discussed the film's themes of empathy and self-reflection. Senga noted that the protagonist, Cure Answer, differs from typical Precure leads by walking alongside others rather than simply leading them. Kito highlighted the delicate portrayal of characters struggling with self-worth.

To celebrate the release, JR Central is launching an ‘Oshi-tabi’ collaboration campaign from September 18 to December 27. Passengers on the Tokaido Shinkansen can access exclusive voice dramas via QR codes to receive digital wallpapers. The campaign also includes physical rewards such as postcards and badges available at Precure Pretty Stores, as well as AR photo frames at major stations including Tokyo, Shin-Yokohama, Nagoya, and Osaka.
