Detective Precure franchise expansion and record-breaking

Overview

The “Detective Precure!” franchise continues its media expansion following the commercial success of the theatrical release “Detective Precure! The Mysterious Garden and Two Secrets.” Since its September 18 premiere, the film has reportedly surpassed 1.1 billion yen in box office revenue and 870,000 admissions.

To celebrate these milestones, several promotional initiatives have been announced. These include a limited-time “Special Talk” screening running from October 9 to November 5, and a record-high offering of admission gifts. A fifth round of attendee benefits, consisting of one of three random “Purikura-style” stickers, is scheduled for distribution from October 16 to October 22. Additionally, two of eight newly drawn ending illustrations have been unveiled, featuring characters from “Detective Precure!”, original film characters Karin and Alan, and characters from “Kimi to Idol Precure!” and “Wonderful Precure!”. A complete postcard set of all eight illustrations will be available at the Precure Pretty Store starting in December.

Further promotional content includes the release of the “First Prism” promotional video and the music video for the film’s ending theme song, “FIRST PRISM.” Other commemorative efforts include the release of “Kirakira Plastic Card Gummy” snacks on September 28, 2026, and a real-world escape game collaboration scheduled for late November 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka.

On the television front, the series continues its broadcast. Following the 36th episode, “The Trial of the Gold Medal,” the 37th episode, “Usonoire and Nijii’s Tea Time,” involves the protagonists Anna and Mikuru attempting to remove a ring from the Star Kiraring Brooch.
