Deutsche Bahn and Train4you launch discounted cross‑border train services from Germany

Deutsche Bahn has introduced a low‑fare European Super Sparpreis, offering one‑way tickets from Munich to several Italian destinations such as Bozen, Verona, Bologna and Venice for as little as €20. The fares are non‑refundable but provide a cheaper alternative to flying, with travel times of four to six hours on second‑generation Railjet trains.

Train4you’s Urlaubs‑Express (UEX) auto‑train service lets passengers load their car onto a train for journeys from northern German cities like Hamburg and Düsseldorf to Austrian Alpine destinations including Innsbruck and Villach. The service also runs without car transport, offering night‑coach accommodation and connections to Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. The operator highlights the convenience and environmental benefits of moving the vehicle by rail.
