Deutsche Bahn faces punctuality criticism as new Berlin short‑travel guide launches

Customers of Deutsche Bahn report persistent delays, overcrowding and construction‑related disruptions, with the railway’s on‑time performance lagging behind neighbouring countries such as Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. The company promises to raise regional punctuality to above 90 % but has offered no concrete timetable for improvement.

The edition lists more than 100 day‑trip and weekend options departing from Berlin to destinations across Germany, Denmark, Poland and the Czech Republic. It will be available from 5 June 2026 at €12.90, with ISBN 978‑3‑946631‑77‑4.
