Deutsche Bahn introduces permanent family ticket amid new credit rules

Several regulatory and service changes are set to take effect in November. Deutsche Bahn has announced that its family ticket will become a permanent offering starting November 1. The ticket, priced at 99.99 euros, provides round-trip travel for up to five people and includes seat reservations on ICE trains.

In the financial sector, stricter regulations for mini-loans and installment purchases, including 'buy now, pay later' services, will be implemented on November 20. Providers will be required to conduct more rigorous checks on a customer's ability to repay, even for small loans up to 200 euros or interest-free payment deferrals, to prevent consumer debt traps.

Additionally, November 30 marks the deadline for many motor vehicle insurance cancellations for contracts ending on December 31. Consumers are also reminded of deadlines regarding applications for wage tax reductions to mitigate monthly tax burdens.
