Deutsche Psychologen Akademie launches online learning therapy curriculum
The Deutsche Psychologen Akademie has announced a new online curriculum for “Psychological Learning Therapy,” scheduled to run from September 17, 2026, to June 25, 2027. The program is designed to prepare psychologists, child and adolescent psychotherapists, and trainees for certification as a “Psychological Learning Therapist BDP.”
The professional development course consists of six modules totaling 90 teaching units. Topics include an introduction to learning therapy practice, specific diagnostics for learning disorders, learning and attention, theory and intervention, and supervision of practice. The curriculum aims to provide essential competencies for diagnosing and intervening in learning disorders that impact the mental health and daily lives of children, adolescents, and adults.
The program is recognized as an educational event under the Berlin Education Time Act. Participants can apply for continuing education credits through the Psychotherapeutenkammer Berlin, which typically correspond to the number of teaching units completed.
