Deutsche Telekom rebranding Cosmote to Telekom in Greece

The OTE Group is rebranding its commercial brand from Cosmote Telekom to Telekom, aligning its Greek operations with the global Deutsche Telekom brand. This transition marks the completion of a multi-decade integration process following Deutsche Telekom’s entry into the shareholder base.

The rebranding includes a shift to the Magenta corporate color and the renaming of various services. For instance, Cosmote 5G will become Telekom 5G, Cosmote Fiber will become Telekom Fiber, and OTE’s subscription television will adopt the name MagentaTV. Other services, such as payzy and Cosmote Insurance, will transition to Magenta Pay and Magenta Insurance, respectively.

According to OTE Group Chairman and CEO Kostas Nebis, the move aims to connect Greece to the future of digital technology and artificial intelligence. The integration is expected to provide access to centralized European platforms for cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI, potentially reducing development costs for the Greek subsidiary.
