Devendra Nath Mahto launches recruitment reform yatra in Jharkhand

Devendra Nath Mahto, leader of the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM), has launched the ‘Recruitment System Reform Yatra’ in Hazaribagh. The campaign aims to demand a transparent and corruption-free examination process within the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).

The movement has drawn significant participation from students and job aspirants across the state. Mahto stated that the mobilization represents the frustration of youth across all 24 districts of Jharkhand, emphasizing that students are seeking concrete decisions rather than mere assurances.

The campaign faced local opposition in Nemra village, where residents gathered to block Mahto, citing concerns over planned political demonstrations. Despite these protests, the second phase of the ‘JPSC-JSSC Corruption-Free Recruitment Campaign’ proceeded from Lukaiya Tand. The yatra is scheduled to travel through several districts, including Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Sahebganj, Pakur, and Jamtara.
