Dewa United Banten FC tops BRI Super League standings

Dewa United Banten FC has reached the top of the BRI Super League 2026/2027 standings following a 2-1 victory over PSS Sleman at Banten International Stadium. The winning goals were scored by Taisei Marukawa in the 49th minute and Carlos Iury in the 58th minute. Marukawa was named Player of the Match and noted that the team has shown significant improvement in cohesion compared to the previous season.

Despite holding the top position with 10 points from four matches, head coach Osmar Loss has cautioned against complacency. He noted that Dewa United has played one more match than competitors such as Madura United and Persija Jakarta, who currently sit in second and third place respectively. Loss emphasized that the team is focusing on one match at a time rather than the championship title, looking ahead to a challenging upcoming fixture against Persib Bandung on October 11, 2026.
