Dewa United defeats PSS Sleman 2-1 to reach top of standings

Dewa United secured a 2-1 victory against PSS Sleman at the Banten International Stadium during the third week of the 2026/2027 Super League. Taisei Marukawa played a decisive role, scoring one goal and providing an assist for Carlos da Silva.

The win moves Dewa United to the top of the standings with 10 points from four matches. In contrast, PSS Sleman remains in the relegation zone at 17th place with zero points following three consecutive losses. PSS Sleman's lone goal in the match was scored by Christophe Nduwarugira.

PSS Sleman coach Pieter Huistra noted that while the team's performance showed potential, they struggled with defensive issues and the absence of official pre-match training sessions due to new regulations. PSS Sleman captain Cleberson emphasized the importance of supporter motivation as the team seeks its first win of the season.
