DEXIS and Poole Orthodontics advance digital dental imaging and treatment
DEXIS has announced a series of technological updates to its dental imaging ecosystem, including new hardware and software designed to improve digital workflows. Key innovations include the NOMAD Pro 3 handheld X-ray system and a Motion Correction feature for CBCT units, which aims to reduce image artifacts caused by patient movement during scans. The company also introduced the DEXIS IOS Cloud platform, a new Endodontic Module for DTX Studio Clinic, and a Hardware-as-a-Service subscription model.
In a separate development, Poole Orthodontics in Northern Utah has expanded its digital treatment infrastructure. The practice has integrated 3D intraoral scanning, digital treatment planning software, and computer-aided aligner fabrication into its standard patient care. This expansion allows for the creation of precise three-dimensional virtual models, replacing traditional physical impressions to facilitate clear aligner therapy for both adolescent and adult patients.
