DEYA Zakynthos installs new 250-meter pipeline in Vougiato
DEYA Zakynthos has undertaken the replacement of a problematic section of the water and sewage network in the community of Vougiato. The project involves the construction of a new 250-meter pipeline designed to provide a permanent solution to frequent blockages that have caused ongoing issues for local residents.
According to Dionysis Tourkakis, President of DEYA Zakynthos, the previous pipeline was not only prone to recurring blockages but also ran through private properties, which complicated maintenance and repairs. Rather than continuing with temporary fixes, the organization opted to design a new route for the network to address the root cause of the malfunctions.
The project is currently in its final stages, with the installation and connection of the new pipeline to the existing network underway. The initiative reflects a strategy of prioritizing permanent technical solutions for local community issues, even when they do not involve large-scale, high-budget infrastructure projects.
