Zakynthos water and sewage infrastructure management

Overview

DEYA Zakynthos has been managing infrastructure issues involving water and sewage networks on the island. In the community of Vougiato, the organization initiated the installation of a new 250-meter pipeline to replace a problematic section that frequently blocked and ran through private properties. This project aimed to provide a permanent solution to recurring malfunctions.

Separately, in the Lithakia area, a major water supply pipeline failure required complex repairs. The restoration process was complicated by a second rupture that occurred during the night following an initial repair attempt.
