DFB Festival 2026 showcases Brazilian fashion talent in Fortaleza
The 27th edition of the DFB Festival 2026 took place in Fortaleza, Brazil, turning city landmarks such as the Ponte dos Ingleses, Rua dos Tabajaras, Estoril and the Dragão do Mar Cultural Centre into runway venues. Over four days the event highlighted emerging designers and artisans, reinforcing Fortaleza’s role as a leading creative hub during the city’s 300‑year anniversary celebrations.
Key initiatives included the Mãos da Moda project, a partnership with Riachuelo Lab that linked designers with northeastern artisans, and a series of collections that blended traditional techniques with contemporary design. Notable shows featured Lino Villaventura’s “Fractal: Gênese Infinita” collection, Inttuí’s “Pele do Céu” merging architectural and artistic references, and other presentations by Teroy Treze, Areia, Dua, Patú, Almacor and Studio Orla. The festival emphasized sustainability, collaborative creation, and inclusion, showcasing works inspired by regional crafts, neurodivergent artists and cultural symbols.
