Dia D vaccination campaigns underway in Tocantins as dengue cases rise; Cuiabá to host influenza drive

In Tocantins, a Dia D vaccination push is taking place in 17 municipalities across the northern region to curb a dengue surge. Araguaína hospitals are reported as at capacity amid rising dengue activity; health authorities say Tocantins has 10,973 suspected dengue cases this year, with 6 deaths confirmed and 7 more under investigation. Across the north, the region has about 19,218 suspected dengue cases to date.

In Cuiabá, the Dia D against influenza will be held Saturday across 72 Family Health Units, from 8:00 to 17:00, covering urban and rural areas throughout the city. The campaign targets priority groups established by the Ministry of Health to protect the most vulnerable from influenza complications, following routine vaccination efforts.
