Diablo 4 Season 16 PTR scheduled to begin October 27

The Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo 4 Season 16 is scheduled to open on October 27, 2026, and run until November 3. This testing period is exclusive to PC players via Battle.net and allows players to test new mechanics, character builds, and seasonal content before the official launch.

Key updates include the introduction of War Plans Tactics, a system that allows players to influence the frequency of specific activities and rewards, such as Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons. Players can earn Marks of Wisdom, a new currency used to reset War Plans Tactics and activity trees without using gold. Additionally, the season will feature Tyrael's Boons, a seasonal tree for customizing activities and rewards.

The PTR aims to refine the itemization system by improving the drop experience for Unique and Legendary gear and reducing undesirable affixes. Other featured changes include reworked Glyph nodes, new Legendary Aspects, and new Horadric Items.
