Diamantino implements social assistance and educational programs

The Municipality of Diamantino has implemented several community outreach initiatives to support local residents. Through the “Construindo Melhorias” (Building Improvements) program, the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, Labor, and Citizenship provided over 200 services to rural communities, including Posto Gil, Caeté, Córrego Grande, Teixeira, and Bojuí.

These services included social assistance, Cadastro Único registration, SINE employment services, and housing support. Residents also received practical aid such as haircuts, educational lectures, and essential supplies, including food baskets containing over 20 items, cleaning kits, hygiene products, and blankets. Jaqueline Mendes, the Municipal Secretary of Social Assistance, noted that the initiative aims to bring public services directly to families to better identify local demands.

Additionally, the Municipal Secretariat of Education has organized a special program for students in the municipal school system to celebrate Children's Day. This program includes recreational, cultural, and educational activities, such as storytelling, music, and painting, held at various municipal units and the Library-Park between October 6 and 16.
