Diano Marina museum joins European Heritage Days

The Civic Museum of Diano Marina will hold a special opening on Saturday, September 26, as part of the European Heritage Days. This year’s theme is “Protecting heritage. Renew, resist, reinvent,” focusing on the preservation and innovative dissemination of cultural assets.

The event coincides with ongoing renovation projects at the Palazzo del Parco, which houses the Civic Library, the museum sections, and the Rodolfo Falchi exhibition hall. Recent improvements include safety upgrades to electrical and fire prevention systems, as well as the restoration of the library’s frescoed ceiling following water damage in 2025. Additionally, the museum is expanding its archaeological section with a new display dedicated to Roman amphorae from the Lucus Bormani site, highlighting regional trade between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD.
