Dibër mayor Fisnik Mela hands over 47 social homes in North Macedonia

On the day of the ceremony, 47 families in the Dibër municipality received new social‑housing units after meeting the legal eligibility criteria. The hand‑over was attended by North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski, the director of the state construction agency Marjan Stefanovski, and Dibër mayor Fisnik Mela. The project, financed in part by a Hungarian credit of about €2 million, also includes related infrastructure such as a new boulevard.

Opposition party Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) criticised the event, saying the housing scheme was prepared and funded by the previous government and that the current administration was merely staging a photo‑op by distributing the keys. BDI demanded that the authorities acknowledge the true origin of the project while congratulating the families.
