DICRIM searches for suspect in Sabana Grande de Boyá sexual assault

The Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) is searching for 28-year-old Eddy Alfonso Vallejo Beltrán, known as ‘Chito’, following an alleged sexual assault in Sabana Grande de Boyá. An arrest warrant (RAJ-2026-16731) has been issued for the suspect.

According to reports, the incident occurred on September 22 around 3:00 a.m. The suspect allegedly entered a residence by breaking an iron window and threatened the victim with a knife, stating he would kill her seven-year-old son if she resisted. The child reportedly witnessed the assault. Following the attack, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in both legs before fleeing the scene.

While Vallejo Beltrán was reportedly detained by DICRIM agents the day after the incident, the victim's family claims he was released only a few hours later, leading to local indignation. The victim has reported ongoing psychological distress and fear, noting that her son also suffers from frequent night terrors following the event.
