Dominican Republic police investigations

Overview

The Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) of the National Police has initiated searches for suspects involved in separate criminal incidents.

In Hato Mayor, authorities are searching for Víctor Alfonso Pérez, known as ‘Víctor’, in connection with an armed robbery in the Villa Canto sector. During the incident, hooded individuals stole gold jewelry valued at over 200,000 pesos from businessman Gelson Lester Paulino Solano. Police have issued a judicial arrest warrant for Pérez, describing him as a highly dangerous individual who may be heavily armed.

In Sabana Grande de Boyá, DICRIM is seeking Eddy Alfonso Vallejo Beltrán, known as ‘Chito’, regarding an alleged sexual assault. Reports indicate the suspect entered a residence by breaking a window and threatened the victim with a knife. Following the assault, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in both legs. Although the suspect was reportedly detained briefly, the victim’s family claims he was released shortly after, causing local indignation.
