Didacta Italia Abruzzo explores AI and educational innovation in Lanciano

The Didacta Italia Abruzzo edition, held from October 21 to 23, 2026, at Lanciano Fiera, brought together educators, researchers, and administrators to discuss the future of schooling. Organized by Firenze Fiera in scientific collaboration with INDIRE, the event focused heavily on the structural impact of artificial intelligence on teaching methodologies, STEM disciplines, and student assessment.

Key sessions addressed the challenges of demographic shifts on multi-grade classrooms and the specific needs of schools in Abruzzo's internal areas. The event also featured the presentation of ‘Immagini in classe’ by INDIRE, an audiovisual platform designed to provide teachers with qualified podcasts, videos, and social media content to support classroom learning.

Francesco Manfredi, president of INDIRE, highlighted the necessity of supporting teachers through significant reforms, noting the importance of specialized training for support teachers (TFA) to ensure educational continuity and effective use of new school infrastructures.
