Didim Municipality Opens Lavender and Aromatherapy Festival

Didim Municipality will host the Didim Lavender and Aromatherapy Festival from July 3 to 5 2026. The three‑day event will take place at the Mavişehir Atatürk Cultural and Life Area and the Akköy Medicinal Aromatic Plants and Ornamental Plants Nursery, offering concerts, workshops, yoga sessions and a scientific discussion on climate change, habitat flora impacts and food safety.

The opening concert on July 3 at 21:00 features artist Suzan Kardeş. On July 4 the programme includes an aromatherapy‑yoga session at 08:00, a cocktail launch of aromatic flavors at 14:00, and a 15:00 talk on climate and food security. The main venue opens at 19:00, followed by performances by the Didim Municipality Women’s Rhythm Group and local artists. Mayor Hatice Gençay invited residents, saying the festival will combine the town’s natural beauty, production and cultural richness.

The festival aims to showcase local lavender production, provide interactive experiences and promote environmental awareness.
