Vietnam prepares for major 2026 cultural and culinary festivals

Vietnam is preparing for a series of major cultural and culinary festivals scheduled throughout 2026.

In Hanoi, the second World Culture Festival will take place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel from October 1 to 4. The event, themed ‘Converging Heritage – Creating the Future’, commemorates the 50th anniversary of Vietnam joining UNESCO and will feature 45 cultural spaces and 20 international art troupes. Additionally, Hanoi will launch the 2026 Vietnam Culture Day to promote national identity.

In Dien Bien, the 4th Hmong Ethnic Culture Festival is set for October 9–11. The event will include traditional music, craft demonstrations, and sports such as women's 7-a-side football. Meanwhile, the Dien Bien Food Festival is currently underway, showcasing over 100 stalls of local specialties.

Other regional highlights include the Da Lat Flower Festival (December 19–31) in Lam Dong, the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival (November 21–23) aimed at global branding, and the Belgian Culture and Food Festival (B. Fest 2026) in Ha Long. Sports events are also being organized, such as the National Table Tennis Championship in Vinh Long.
