Diesel prices reach new record in Belgium

Diesel prices in Belgium have reached a new record high. This surge is part of a broader upward trend in energy costs that includes gasoline, heating oil, gas, electricity, and pellets.

Gasoline 95 is currently priced at 2.05 euros per liter, reflecting an increase of 42 cents per liter over the last six months. For heating oil, orders under 2,000 liters have seen prices rise by 75 cents per liter. Domestic energy costs are also climbing, with electricity increasing by 5 cents per kWh and natural gas by 3 cents. Pellets have also become more expensive, with a 15kg bag costing an average of 7.20 euros, up 1.15 euros since March.

Industry experts note a domino effect where rising fuel and gas prices increase both production and transportation costs for suppliers.
