State social welfare agencies (DIF) across Mexico delivered mobility devices and announced new assistance schemes in July 2026. In Chihuahua, the DIF handed out functional equipment to 126 families, including wheelchairs, walkers and canes, with President María Eugenia Galván Antillón stressing, “La voluntad de salir adelante está en ustedes; estos apoyos son una herramienta, pero la verdadera fuerza viene del esfuerzo diario y del acompañamiento de la familia.” A separate Chihuahua event provided similar aid to 63 families in Cuauhtémoc and surrounding municipalities.

In Puebla, the DIF capital supplied wheelchairs to two children from San Miguel Canoa, improving their independence. Coahuila’s DIF toured remote municipalities, opening senior centers, food rooms and “Veamos la discapacidad” benefit cards for people with disabilities, while also delivering basic‑goods exchanges through the “Mercadito Pa’ Delante” program.

Quintana Roo’s governor Mara Lezama Espinosa launched the first phase of credentialing for the MOBI public‑transport card, offering free rides for persons with disabilities and reduced fares for seniors and students. The initiative aims to benefit over 12,000 users initially, with a target of 40,000 students, 15,000 seniors and 4,500 persons with disabilities by the end of 2027.
