DIF Nuevo Laredo provides over 2,000 mental health services

The Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) in Nuevo Laredo has provided 2,236 psychological services so far this year. The services include both individual and group sessions, couple therapy, parent education, and support during court proceedings.

Data indicates that 53 percent of the cases involve children and adolescents, while 47 percent involve adults. The organization also provides referrals to psychiatry when specialized intervention is required. Roberto Viviano Vázquez Macías, Director General of DIF Nuevo Laredo, emphasized that mental health is essential to family well-being and encouraged citizens to seek professional guidance early to prevent situations from worsening.
